  • For Extended Health Benefits, is Active Release Techniques™, Shockwave, and Graston all covered under 'Chiropractic'?

    Yes, since Dr. Case’s professional designation is a Chiropractor, all treatments he performs fall under ‘Chiropractic’.

  • I don’t like the idea of being ‘cracked’. Is there any other type of treatment?

    Yes, the adjustment is only one of several treatment options that our Kitsilano, Vancouver office offers. For example, you may receive Active Release Techniques®, and/or Graston Techniques® and/or Shockwave Therapy, along with stretching and strengthening exercises.

  • Will the treatment hurt?

    With Active Release Techniques®, Shockwave Therapy or Graston Techniques®, patients often describe a good or necessary hurt. The amount pressure used by Dr. Case or the Shockwave setting selected is always up to you.

  • Will I be sore after the treatments?

    Occasionally, you may be sore for a day or two following treatment depending on the sensitivity of the injury and the necessary location/depth of the treatment.  This soreness will subside and follow-up treatments can be altered regarding treatment location and type.

  • Does Dr. Case run on time?

    Yes. A service of ours is to stay on time (either exactly or within a few minutes). This allows you to plan your day and us to plan ours.

    • On the first appointment, you will be asked to come in 10-15 minutes early to fill out office forms. If the forms are filled out quickly, you may have to wait briefly for your actual appointment time.
    • In order to keep on time, we need to move on if a patient is more than a few minutes late as follow-up appointments typically run approximately 15 minutes and we never double book. If you think you might be late, please call us (604-569-2888) and although we may have to move on to the next patient(s) in order to maintain our service, we will try our best to reschedule you as soon as possible that day or the following day depending on your and our availability.
  • If I am sore from treatment, should I cancel or rebook my appointment for a later date?

    Typically, no.  A sore area gives us an opportunity to work nearby areas that are part of the injury cause and solution.

  • I’ve heard once you get one adjustment/manipulation you need to keep seeing the chiropractor. Is this true?

    No, most times there is a start and finish to the treatment. That is, the problem is ‘fixed’ and you may be given exercises and stretches for future prevention. Typically, we try to fix or substantially improve an injury within 4-6 sessions.

  • Will someone call me to remind me of my appointment?

    We purposely DO NOT HAVE an automatic reminder call before every appointment unless you request one. However, if you would find a reminder call helpful, please let us know and we would be happy to provide one for you. We also now have automatic email reminders and notifications for – 24 hrs until your appointment as well as confirmation of your bookings and cancellation through our online booking system. You can turn these on or off by asking our front desk (605-569-2888) or through our ‘Book Online’ button on the Home page.
